The lodge is situated adjacent to the northern border of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve itself, and is some 1.5 hours from Deception Valley.

Accommodation is tented, with a selection of Luxury, Superior Luxury and Honeymoon units. All accommodation is en suite, complete with shower and toilet. The Superior Luxury tents have a full bathroom, and private deck, whilst the Honeymoon tent has been built around trees, boasts a four poster bed, and large bathroom. The lodge accommodates a maximum of 20 guests.

The main Lodge area houses the lounge, dining room and bar. In addition, there is a swimming pool with sun deck. You also have the chance of seeing wildlife from the camp, when they use the adjacent waterhole.

Lodge activities include game drives, with the chance to see the wildlife of the area, which includes leopard, cheetah, oryx, wildebeest, eland, kudu, brown hyena, and the rare wild dog. The area is also known for its birdlife, with some 250 species having been identified. Sun downers can be enjoyed during the afternoon game drive.

You might also choose to the full day excursion into Deception Valley, in the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. There is an early start, and you get to explore this fossil river, enjoying lunch at the Deception Pan. There is also the chance of some good game viewing. You return to the Lodge in the late afternoon.

For the more adventurous, you might want to hire quad bike, and go on the guided bush trail. Here you will learn more about animal spoor, and the vegetation of the Kalahari.

Haina is also home to a family of San, who will share with you their daily lives – searching for  roots and plants, making fires, and the rain dance.
