Budget Africa 2To book direct with Island-Safari.com - Email a consultant A Scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Kasane Airport in the North of Botswana and a short road transfer to the Chobe Safari Lodge, a luxurious modern hotel with a truly African feel, situated just 5 minutes from the Chobe National Park, and overlooking the Chobe River and floodplanes. Your safaris from the Chobe Safari Lodge will be on 4X4 and motorboat in the Chobe National Park, home to some of the most spectacular herds of elephants in all Africa. Cruising along the Chobe river and flood plains enables you to approach the wildlife and birds at very close quarters, but in all safety. After three nights at the Chobe Safari Lodge, you will take an 80 minute light aircraft flight deep into the Okavango Delta, and land at the private airstrip for Semetsi Camp, where you will meet the Guide who will be looking after you during your stay. Semetsi Camp offers a setting which seems to offer an endless panorama not only of the Delta's primeval landscape, but of the dawn of time itself. Overlooking the Boro, one of the main waterways of the Okavango Delta, Semetsi Camp has just eight meru-style tents built on raised wooden platforms. Hot and cold water showers and flush loos are located nearby Your safaris from Semetsi Camp will be the most interesting during your holiday. You will explore the intricate and stunningly beautiful waterways of the Okavango Delta by mokoro, a dug out canoe poled by your personal Guide. This is a truly magical experience, allowing you to view the abundant bird-life at very close range. Floating through beds of water-lilies, watching antelope, zebra, giraffe and perhaps the occasional cheetah, your memories of Semetsi Camp will remain with you for ever. Walking Safaris are also featured at Semetsi Camp. Even the most satiated safari-goers will tell you that tracking and viewing wildlife on foot is 'the only way to go!' Accompanied by your personal Guide, you will, in all safety and security, become part of the African landscape. Following your four night stay at Semetsi Camp, you will take a light aircraft to Maun, to transfer by Air Botswana to Johannesburg, where you will transfer to the Senator Hotel just 5 minutes from the Airport for a brief overnight stay prior to taking your flight to Mauritius. You will be met at the Airport, and transferred by car to the Colonial Coconut Hotel at Grande Baie on the Northern Coast of the Island. The Colonial Coconut Hotel is one of the last remaining colonial style hotels that once peppered the Indian Ocean Islands serving as a welcome shelter to travellers. Today the Colonial Coconut Hotel is an elegant and peaceful oasis close to the bustling town of Grand Baie, with its numerous restaurants, shops and bars. You can relax on the hotel's private beach, partake in the many watersports available or 'shop till you drop' in the numerous clothes boutiques of Grand Baie selling designer clothes at a fraction of the price. Mauritius manufactures high quality clothing for such 'names' at Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Lacosse and many others. After six relaxing nights on Mauritius, you will return to Johannesburg and your flight home. 14 nights: € 3785 per person SAFARI ONLY 7 nights: € 1923 per person Email a consultant |
