Casa rex

Casa Rex is a guesthouse and restaurant on mainland Vilanculos overlooking the Bazaruto Archipelago, a Marine National Park bordered by three islands. Situated high up on a promontory offering stunning views over Vilanculos Bay, but not close to the beach.

Rooms are decorated in an individual style with an emphasis in the lounge and dining areas on custom-crafted wood furniture and fittings.

All rooms are en-suite with air conditioning, internet access and private balconies providing guests with magnificent views of The Bazaruto Archipelago For maximum comfort, mosquito nets are hung and windows are fitted with shutters against the occasional rain shower.

Its prime location, as the gateway to Bazaruto Archipelago, provides access to superb beaches, lagoons and coral reefs make for perfect diving, goggling and snorkeling, underwater photography, deep sea fishing, surfing, wind-surfing, yachting & dhow excursions. It is also well situated to explore the vibrant and fascinating town of Vilanculos on foot.

There are 8 Acacia Rooms 2 x single beds, en-suite shower, air-conditioning, fans, internet connection and balcony

4 Premium Rooms 2 x single beds, en-suite shower, sitting area with day bed, fans and mosquito nets (2 additional single beds can be put into this room to accommodate families)

1 Courtyard Suite 1 x double bed, en-suite shower, private dressing area, fans, mosquito nets, large terrace

A deluxe swimming pool complements the setting where guests can cool down & relax whilst enjoying the impressive view.

Casa Rex has an excellent restaurant with full A la Carte menu available for Lunch & Dinner offering a combination of cuisines.
