On this Tour you will be introduced to the soul of the “The Mother City”, giving an orientation as to the layout of the City Centre and surrounding areas, including Table Mountain, Signal Hill, District 6, the Cape Malay Quarter, the Atlantic Sea-Board, Blouberg Beach and a host of other attractions. Cape Town, now known as the “Gateway to Africa”, was originally (some 350 years ago), known as the “Cape of Storms” by passing sailors. As early Seafarers became dependant upon the readily available fresh food and water found on the slopes of Table Mountain, Cape Town and Table Bay became known as “The Fairest Cape – The Cape of Good Hope”. Today you will see Cape Town from another dimension. Learn about the deplorable past and the exciting future, the diverse history and get an introduction to the cultural differences that make Cape Town the fascinating and diverse place that it is.
