Spectacularly sited on the Chobe River, close to Chobe National Park, yet easily accessible by air, Mowana Safari Lodge stands at the point where four countries meet.... Mowana is the perfect setting for any Southern African experience.

The estate, with its diverse leisure activities and its magnificent outdoor swimming pool set against the ever-changing backdrop of the Chobe River, provides a wonderful opportunity to relax and enjoy this fascinating world.

Mowana, the Setswana word for baobab tree, is created around one of these spectacular trees which dominates the reception area. Chobe National Park boasts some of the most spectacular elephants in all Africa. Mowana is the ideal base for the wildlife and safari enthusiast, with its unique bush and river surroundings.

All rooms have river view and private balconies, ideal for watching the sun slip below the horizon. Recently completely upgraded, African furnishings and fabrics have been used throughout, double beds are draped with canopy mosquito nets and the bathrooms feature individually hand painted basins. Mowana really does offer Africa in comfort and style.

Activities include game viewing from boats on the river, mokoro canoe trips through the narrow side channels, champagne breakfasts or sundowner cruises and game viewing from four-wheel drive vehicles in Chobe National Park.
