Terms and Conditions

Once Island-Safari have confirmed to you that your required dates are available, a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total of the Tour cost, per person is required to confirm the reservation. We will 'hold' your required dates for a period of seven days to enable the deposit to be made, after that your reservation will have 'unconfirmed' status, and may result in you losing your preferred dates.

The Balance payment must be made 42 days prior to the date of tour departure. Failure to comply with the deposit and balance payment requirements may result in automatic cancellation of your reservation.

Payments can be made by Bank Transfer. We accept VISA and Mastercard payments with no additional charge.

You may also make your reservation through a Travel Agent, local to you. In this case, you will not be entitled to the discount offered to direct internet bookings, since your preferred Travel Agent will receive commission.

You are strongly advised to take out travel insurance to cover the possibility of cancellation. Many Lodges and Camps we use insist that guest have travel insurance.

Our Cancellation and Refund policy:

Cancellation of a confirmed tour will result in the following Cancellation charges:

4 - 6 weeks prior to departure: 40% of Tour Cost

2 - 4 weeks prior to departure: 60% of Tour Cost

0 - 2 weeks prior to departure: 100% of Tour Cost

No refund will be made for any portion of the tour unused because of a cancellation or change made by participants themselves whilst on the tour.

 

Responsibility

All tours organised by Island-Safari.com involve local incoming Ground Handlers, who reserve the right to change and readjust the tour schedule, transportation, hotel accommodation and services indicated in the brochure in the event of unforeseen circumstance.

Safari Lodges and Safari Hotels used by Island-Safari.com will require you to sign an indemnity form before going on excursions.

Tour itineraries and prices are subject to change without prior notice, although Island-Safari.com will do everything in its power to prevent such changes, or to give you ample prior notice.

Many Lodges and Camps we use insist that guest have travel insurance, it is advisable to chose an insurer in the Country you reside.

We reserve the right to adjust the tour prices at any time should there be any fluctuation in the exchange rate or increases in the cost of any portion of the tour.

Island-Safari.com will do everything possible to absorb any increase in airport taxes, fuel surcharges or other related airline charge increases but reserve the right to add these as a supplement to the tour price.

South African Countries often impose increases in VISA fees, VAT tax or Service Charges without notice - we cannot be held responsible for sudden increases in Government imposed fees or taxes and you may be required to pay these directly.

Residents of Great Britain should note that Island-Safari.com is a South African based Tour Operator. Any Regional African scheduled airline tickets that are included in our Tours are issued directly by the Airline concerned, and island-Safari.com act only as a 'ticket provider'. Island-safari.com does not include or organise any International flight tickets from or to the United Kingdom.

Island-Safari.com acts in the capacity of tour operator only for clients in making all tour arrangements. All coupons, receipts and tickets issued by Island-Safari.com are subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the suppliers.

Island-Safari.com shall be exempt from any liability for loss, damage to property, accidents, delays, irregularities or other occurrence beyond its control.

Should there be any change of arrival/departure time and the entry/exit transportation used by the tour, Island-Safari.com shall not held responsibility for the loss caused thereof.
