Sango Safari Camp - Okavango Delta
The newly opened Sango Safari Camp is nestled in the shade of trees which overlook the Khwai River. The camp is situated on the outskirts of the traditional village of Khwai and on the border of the famous Moremi Game Reserve. This allows the Camp to offer visitors the perfect base from which to explore the wildlife and culture of this unique and diverse area. Guests will thus have the chance to learn first hand about the unique lifestyle and experiences that come from living and growing up in one of the most wildlife rich areas of Botswana. Accommodation at Sango Safari Camp is in 5 en-suite Meru tents. The Camp takes its design from the style of the classic tented safari camp of bygone days. With its open-air bucket showers, hand crafted furniture and classic styling Sango Safari Camp rekindles the atmosphere of a mobile safari camp, and successfully blends the rustic with the luxurious. With the Khwai River forming a natural border between Moremi Game Reserve and the Khwai Concession, wildlife is free to move within this vast area. Sango Safari Camp is focused on delivering an exceptional wildlife experience to guests. Sango Safari Camp offers a number of activities: open vehicle game drives both in the Moremi and in the Khwai concession area, guided bush walks, and night drives. With a combination of permanent water, seasonal floodplains, open grasslands, riverine forests, and dry woodlands this area supports a diversity and abundance of mammals and birds rarely matched in northern Botswana. Please note: All activities are subject to seasonal availability and weather conditions during the month of travel, walking and mokoro activities may be limited in the wet season due to dense vegetation and limited visibility.
