Xudum Delta Lodge - Okavango Delta Accommodation is in 9 eco-sensitive suites, all of which boast sweeping views of the waterways, and surrounding savanna, in addition, there is also a private lofty hideout and plunge pool. The en suite bathroom is equipped with an oversized bathtub, and an outdoor shower. Enjoy a night out under the stars sleeping in your rooftop sleeping area – a remarkable experience. The main lodge area has decks, from which to enjoy the beauties of the surrounds. From here you can also watch the resident hippo pod. The lounge area is furnished with massive, comfortable sofas. Dining is sure to be a delight – whether the interactive experience at the lodge, or enjoying a meal in the bush. This is a game (and bird) rich area, which can be enjoyed on morning and afternoon game drives (which continue into the early evening), or on a relaxed mokoro excursion – something not to be missed. There is a chance to picnic on an island, as you explore the area. There are also power boat trips, and walking safaris to be experienced. The lodge’s concession boasts channels, lagoons, wetlands, riverine forests, and savanna. Large herds of buffalo, often numbering up to 200 individuals from young calves to splendidly-horned bulls, are frequently encountered in the area. Xudum Delta Lodge are one of the newest Lodges in the Okavango - opened in September 2008 - it is set on the banks of a lagoon on a permanent channel of the Okavango Delta, and is in a private concession, allowing for privacy and exclusivity.
Take a slow, relaxed mokoro trip to a private island on the delta, where a secluded picnic awaits you. In the evening, enjoy an exciting game drive before you return to a private dinner laid out on your open air roof top, with the soft glow of lanterns and the unassuming presence of your attentive butler on call for all your needs.
